One blog post carries 40 of your top 50 rankings. Your service pages carry almost none

This review is about who your website brings in. We went through the site, your search rankings and your Google listing. The basics here are genuinely well done: a real Google listing, a correct 2026 copyright, and your homepage already states the accurate €1,800 SEAI grant. The finding is where your 697 monthly visits actually come from: almost all of it funnels through a single cost-comparison blog post, while your real dedicated county and service pages sit 73rd to 93rd for their own core terms. It's all detailed below, with what to do about each one.

Monthly Google visits
697
Real traffic, up 2.5% on last month.
Visits from one blog post
~40 of top 50
The 10kW solar cost guide carries nearly everything.
Your dedicated county pages
73rd–93rd
For "solar system for house," three of your own pages compete and lose.
SEAI grant on your homepage
€1,800
Correct for 2026. Worth keeping.
01 The rankings

285 searches tracked. One page does almost all the work

285 searches are tracked for my-power.ie, real and growing. The overwhelming majority of your traffic-producing rankings, from "solar panels for house" down through "solar panel inverter" and "solar grants ireland," all point at one page: your 10kW solar system cost guide. Your actual service and county pages barely appear in the traffic-producing rows at all.

What people GooglePeople / monthYour situation
solar panels for house8805th, from the cost guide, your single biggest driver.5th
solar panels grants1,3004th, also from the cost guide.4th
solar system for house480Three of your own pages compete for this: 73rd, 88th and 93rd.73rd+
solar panels carlow17075th, and the page's own URL is titled "wicklow," not carlow.75th
grants for solar panels ireland1,30017th, from your grants page, currently 1 visit.17th

One well-built guide is doing the job of an entire site. Your service pages for Dublin, Wicklow and "solar panels for home" all exist, and all sit far enough down the results that they earn effectively nothing on their own.

Bottom line: The traffic exists. It's concentrated in one place instead of spread across the pages built to earn it.
02 The specifics

Three things holding the service pages back

Wrong
Your Carlow search points at a page titled Wicklow
"Solar panels carlow" (170 searches a month) currently returns /services/solar-panels-wicklow/, a page built and titled for a different county entirely.
Duplicate
Three of your own pages compete for the same search
"Solar system for house" (480 searches a month) is split across three separate URLs: a how-to guide, a homepage-style page, and a dedicated service page. None of the three wins because they're splitting the same search between them.
Buried
Your grants page earns almost nothing despite ranking on page two
"Grants for solar panels ireland" carries 1,300 searches a month and your dedicated grants page sits 17th, one push from page one, currently earning a single visit.
Worth noticing

This is not a design problem. The site is genuinely well built, correctly states the real 2026 grant figure, and one page proves the whole thing can rank when properly aimed. The fix is spreading that same discipline to the county and service pages that are currently splitting traffic against each other or targeting the wrong place. Steady monthly work, not a rebuild.

Bottom line: One page proves the site can win searches. The rest just need the same treatment.
03 Done for you

The fixes, already written out

Each fix below is ready to hand to whoever manages the site.

Fix 1 · Correct the Carlow page mismatch
A visitor searching Carlow currently lands on a page built and titled for Wicklow.
What ranks now
https://my-power.ie/services/solar-panels-wicklow/
Solar Panels Wicklow | My Power
Serving Wicklow homeowners with solar PV installation.
What should exist
https://my-power.ie/services/solar-panels-carlow/
Solar Panels Carlow | My Power
A dedicated Carlow page, separate from Wicklow, aimed at the 170 monthly searches for that exact term.
Fix 2 · Stop three pages competing for the same search
Pick one page to own "solar system for house" and point the other two at it, ordered by which currently ranks best.
/how-to-build-a-solar-power-system/ → owner: keep as the main page, currently 73rd
/solar-power-for-your-home/ → owner: fold into the main page or retarget to a different search, currently 88th
/services/solar-panels-for-home/ → owner: same, currently 93rd
Fix 3 · Quick fixes
Small items, done in one sitting.
Grants page internal links → link to /solar-panels-grant-ireland/ from the cost guide, your highest-traffic page, to help it climb from 17th
County page titles → audit every /services/solar-panels-[county]/ page to confirm the URL and county named actually match
Bottom line: Fix the Carlow mismatch first. It's actively sending the wrong page for a real search.

05 What it adds up to

Run your own numbers on it

Your two biggest county-level misses add up to

650 people a month searching "solar system for house" and "solar panels carlow" alone.

Visits already arriving from those exact searches today: close to zero, both sit outside the top 70.

Your cost guide already proves the site can rank in single digits when properly aimed.

697 real monthly visits already prove Google trusts this site. The next visits don't need a new strategy, just the same aim already working on the cost guide applied to the county pages splitting traffic against themselves. You know your close rate and what a job is worth. That's the sum worth doing on your side.

Bottom line: The proof of concept already exists on this site. It just isn't spread to the pages built to convert.
Why sooner beats later

A visitor searching Carlow and landing on a Wicklow-titled page is a mismatch that costs real enquiries every day it stays live, on a search with confirmed monthly demand.
